Jakarta, May 2026 — PT Intan Pertiwi Industri has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of young generation competencies through active participation in a series of activities at the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) Mesin Expo 2026.
Carrying the theme “From Skill to Global Impact: The Future of Indonesian Machinery”, this activity becomes a collaborative space between the world of education and industry to encourage the birth of human resources who are ready to face the challenges of modern manufacturing and have broader competitiveness in the future.
As part of this support, PT Intan Pertiwi Industri also took part through two main agendas, namely presenting speakers at the Welding Seminar and supporting the implementation of the SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) Welding Competition by providing materials and practical equipment.
On May 25, 2026, PT Intan Pertiwi Industri presented Syuhada Aleen Maulana as a speaker in the Welding Seminar which was part of the 2026 Mesin Expo series.
Through this session, participants gained insight into the development of the welding industry, the importance of selecting electrodes according to application needs, and how the quality of the welding process affects work results in an industrial environment.
In addition to discussing technical aspects, the seminar also opened up a discussion space regarding the competency needs required by the industry today, ranging from technical skills, understanding of work standards, occupational safety, to the ability to adapt to developments in manufacturing technology.
This activity is expected to provide students with a real picture of the direct implementation of theory in the industrial world.
Support SMAW Welding Competitions through Practical Materials and Equipment
The series of activities then continued on May 26, 2026 through the implementation of SMAW Welding Competition which took place at the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta Welding Workshop.
As a form of support for the implementation of the competition, PT Intan Pertiwi Industri provides various practical needs used during the competition.
Supported materials and equipment include:
- KOBELCO RB-26 welding electrode diameter 2.6 mm and 3.2 mm
- KOBELCO MS-77 welding electrode diameter 2.6 mm and 3.2 mm
- Iron plate as a medium for welding practice
- Welding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to support the safety aspects of participants during the competition
This support is provided to help create a more optimal practice environment so that participants can demonstrate their best abilities while still paying attention to occupational safety aspects which are an important part of the welding industry.

The SMAW Welding Competition at the 2026 Mesin Expo was attended by 20 student participants from various educational institutions in Indonesia, namely:

The enthusiasm of the participants shows that the welding and machining sector continues to be one of the sectors of interest in developing vocational competencies and higher education.
