NC-38L, E308L-16 welding electrode is a welding electrode specifically designed for welding applications on 304L and 304 stainless steel types.

This electrode has high flexibility, so it can be used in all welding positions, whether flat, upright, inverted, or horizontal.

Notes of Usages

  • Re-dry the electrodes at a temperature of 150°C – 200°C for 30 – 60 minutes before use.
  • Keep the arc length shorter to create sufficient protection for the weld pool to avoid porosity.
  • The width of the back-and-forth movement must be 2.5 times smaller than the diameter of the electrode to obtain adequate protection.
  • Use the recommended welding parameters to prevent the electrode from burning due to Joule heating.
  • No preheating is required for welding stainless steel, but the interlayer temperature must be maintained at 150°C.
