Product Description

RB 26 welding electrode is the ideal solution for high-quality welding needs. With its smooth and stable arc characteristics, this electrode ensures a low-spatter welding process.

Equipped with excellent slag separation capabilities, the weld results look neater with beautiful grains.

Its flexibility allows use on both AC and DC currents, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

Benefits of RB 26 Welding Electrode

1. Soft and stable bow

Kobe RB 26 welding electrode provides easy starting and a quiet arc flame, making it easy to control the weld pool, especially for short joints and repetitive work.

2. Slag is easy to peel off, neat results

The friable slag reduces cleaning time. The bead appearance is more uniform, making it suitable for fabrication that demands precision.

3. Flexible for AC and DC

It can work with both legacy AC transformers and modern DC inverters. This flexibility helps workshops with a mixed fleet of machines.

Welding Electrode Size

Select the size of RB 26 welding electrode according to the thickness and purpose of the job so that the weld pool is stable and the results are neat.

For thin plates, start with a 2.0 mm diameter for controlled heat and minimal spattering. Increase to 2.6 mm when a slightly faster fill rate is needed without sacrificing control.

The 3.2 mm diameter is a versatile workhorse for many carbon steel fabrication projects. When working with thicker materials, use the 4.0 mm diameter for efficient multi-pass processing.

For thick structures and high productivity, 5.0 mm helps to achieve steady filling with adequate penetration.

For more details, see the RB 26 welding electrode size table below:

Size (Ø)Recommended Use
2.0 mmThin plates and maximum heat control
2.6 mmThin to medium plates with faster fill rates
3.2 mmFlexible public work
4.0 mmThick material with multi pass
5.0 mmVery thick material and productivity targets

Notes of Usages

Guide to using RB 26 welding electrode:

Electrode preparation

If it feels damp, do a light drying at 70 to 100 degrees Celsius for 30 to 60 minutes to stabilize ignition and reduce porosity.

Welding technique

  • Use a short arc length to keep the pool from widening.

  • Apply a back step or strike on a small plate to prevent initial craters and pores.

  • Apply a back step or strike on a small plate to prevent initial craters and pores.

Heat control on thin plates

Make a spaced tack, then continue with short stitches, pausing between passes. If necessary, use copper backing to absorb heat.
