Product Description LB-52U

LB-52U welding electrode is a low hydrogen type welding electrode specifically designed for root pass welding on carbon steel pipes and structures with all-directional welding positions.

Its main advantage lies in its ability to produce deep penetration and a smooth, consistent root bead, even in joints with limited access.

LB-52U welding electrode is also known for its high arc stability, easy slag removal, and clean weld appearance without much spatter.

It is often chosen for critical welding jobs, such as in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, as it guarantees joint strength and crack resistance under extreme conditions.

Notes of Usages

  • Dry the LB-52U welding electrode at a temperature of 300 – 350°C for 30 – 60 minutes before use.
  • The LB-52U produces weld inner reinforcement, which is affected by the geometry, current, and flow of the electrode.
  • Use the back step method or ignite the arc on a small steel plate that has been specially prepared for this purpose to prevent pores at the start of arc ignition.
  • Pay full attention to the recommended welding conditions.
  • Use wind protection in case of strong winds.
  • Keep the arc as short as possible.
