General Characteristics

  • Welding electrode coated with graphite flux, where the weld metal composition is 55% Ni – 45% Fe
  • Machine application is made easier due to the hardenability of the fusion zone and low weld metal
  • Provides excellent crack resistance, making it suitable for bending cast iron types
  • It has a soft and stable arc, so spattering is minimized with ease of slag separation.
  • Suitable for the repair of cylinders, covers, motor bases, gears, and various types of cast iron

Notes of Usages

  • Electrodes must be dried again at 70°C - 100°C for 30 - 60 minutes before use (only applicable for CI-A1 & CI-A2).
  • During welding of cast iron, it is not allowed to do matting to prevent thermal stress deformation
  • Preheating should be done depending on the Ceq of the parent material, a versatile temperature of 100°C - 300°C.
  • Regardless of the size of the defect to be repaired, the length of the beads should be less than 50mm
