Notes of Usages

  • Dry the electrodes again at a temperature of 300–350°C for 30–60 minutes before use.
  • Keep the arc length as short as possible.
  • Use the back-step or tab plate method when starting the arc to prevent the formation of porosity (blowholes).
  • Use a windscreen to protect against strong winds.
  • Do proper pre-heating when there is a fear of cracking during welding of high restrained or high Ceq Steel.
